Pharmaceutical Company, Munich

The international pharmaceutical company commissioned BRÜCKNERINNEN to develop a future-oriented office concept for the Munich location. The goal was to create an inspiring work environment that reflects both global corporate values and regional identity. The particular challenge was to bring employees from cities such as Los Angeles, London, or Barcelona to Munich for several years and to give them a sense of belonging and home.

Award seal "Best Workspaces 2026 – Nominated". BRÜCKNERINNEN has been nominated for the prestigious Best Workspaces Awards 2026. The nomination recognizes outstanding office and working environments that impress with innovative spatial design, functional architecture and aesthetic quality.

Design

The design concept follows the guiding principle: “We are all connected.” Four color and material worlds, inspired by Bavarian mountains, forests, lakes, and the Isar river, run like a common thread through the entire building. They form a calm, natural base that is complemented by corporate identity accents. Open-plan offices are supplemented by retreat niches, focus rooms, and small meeting zones to enable concentrated work, confidential discussions, and quick decision-making rounds. This creates working environments with a high quality of stay, flexibility, and team orientation – an essential component of our Workplace Consulting approach.

More Information

Construction

BRÜCKNERINNEN took on the role of general planner – from the strategic needs analysis to the coordination of all specialist trades and the integral execution planning. The implementation took place with comprehensive construction site supervision (all service phases) – including schedule management, quality control, and cost control. Special project milestones were international design workshops in which employees from various global locations contributed their perspectives. This resulted in the development of a spatial concept that makes cultural diversity visible and at the same time acts as a carrier of identification at the Munich location.

Completed

The new working environments promote communication and exchange, while at the same time enabling concentrated work and strengthening the emotional connection to the location. Sustainability was a central component of the planning concept: durable materials, resource-saving solutions, and efficient use of space reduce the ecological footprint and ensure long-term value retention. This resulted in a modern office landscape that meets international standards and is at the same time regionally rooted – a place that creates connection and brings people together across continents.
